October 24 - 26, 1997 - Mississauga Areas Fall Camporee

A reminder to all attending camp this coming weekend. For this camp we must meet at Sawmill Valley School at 6:00 PM on Friday evening. Travel time to camp is approximately one hour. From the parking lot the Scouts must hike in all gear and pitch their campsite on before retiring for the night. Scouts will be returned directly home by the drivers between 2:00 and 3:00 PM on Sunday. Please make sure you are at the school on time; we need to check in on-site as a group.

Camp Reports

Start making notes now on your trip to camp - what you packed, your equipment, how you got there, menu, duty roster, what (and how) you ate; tent arrangements and of course, daily activities. The Year Round Camper Awards require that you submit a written report about your camps. Look in your Scout Handbook for some more ideas.

Want To Be A Published Author?

All 6th Erin Mills Scouts have the opportunity to have their work published on the World Wide Web. Just write up a camp report as required for the Year- Round Camper Award and we'll publish it on the Troop's web page. We will be gladly accept hand written documents; your report will get on the Internet sooner if it is delivered on disk or by e-mail but regardless, we will get you posted on-line.

Help Us Keep You Informed

For anyone who has an e-mail of FAX number that we can use and who has not passed it along to us yet, the Leaders would really appreciate the information. If you no longer have the form, just write down the email or fax numbers on a slip of paper and have it passed along to Scouter Gary. Better yet, send us an e-mail at "[email protected]" and we will add it to our address books right away.

Dues Reminder

Dues will be collected at our next regular meeting on October 27. Please bring your dues for October 6 (City Hall Visit) and Oct 20 (Lakeview Generating Station Visit) at that time.
